Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of https://hivehomeservicestn.com and any services you book through us. By using the site or booking a service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. Who we are
Hive Home Services is a Tennessee home-services coordinator based in Nashville. Some services are performed by Hive's own crews; others (HVAC, roofing, electrical, plumbing repairs over $3,000, major remodeling) are referred to vetted licensed contractors in our partner network.
2. Service area
We primarily serve Nashville and Middle Tennessee, with specific focus on Nashville, Clarksville (Montgomery County), Fort Campbell, Brentwood, Franklin, Mt. Juliet, Hendersonville, and Murfreesboro. Availability outside these areas is case-by-case.
3. Quotes and pricing
Prices shown on our website and in text messages are estimates until a licensed pro has seen the job. A final written quote is provided before work begins. Where a fixed price is published (e.g., $129 driveway pressure wash up to 1,000 sqft), that price applies to jobs that match the scope shown. Out-of-scope conditions (unusual access, additional labor, hazardous materials, etc.) may require an adjusted quote, which you can accept, decline, or renegotiate before work starts.
4. Instant Book deposits
Some fixed-price services can be booked directly online with payment collected up-front. For services under $500, full payment is collected at booking. For services priced $500–$3,000, a deposit of no more than 33% is collected at booking in line with Tennessee home-improvement law (T.C.A. § 62-6-112). The remainder is charged on completion. Larger home-improvement jobs always follow the written-contract flow, not Instant Book.
5. Cancellation and rescheduling
- Reschedule — free, up to 24 hours before your appointment. Text us at (615) 813-4701.
- Cancel 24+ hours out — full refund of any deposit or prepayment.
- Cancel inside 24 hours — we may retain a $50 trip fee to compensate the scheduled pro.
- No-show / locked gate / no access — $75 re-dispatch fee.
6. Satisfaction guarantee
If you're not happy with the work, text (615) 813-4701 within 72 hours of completion. We'll return to address the issue at no additional charge. If we can't make it right, we refund the portion of the work that wasn't up to standard.
7. Contractor relationships
Subcontractors and partner contractors are independent businesses. They carry their own liability insurance and, where required, trade licenses. Hive verifies license and insurance status before dispatching, but Hive is not the employer of these contractors. Major claims (injury, property damage) are handled through the performing contractor's insurance; Hive will assist in connecting you to the carrier.
8. Payment terms
We accept cash, credit/debit card, and ACH via Stripe. Unpaid balances over 30 days accrue 1.5%/month interest (18% APR). Chargebacks for services actually rendered will be disputed.
9. Davidson County home-improvement contracts
In Davidson County, home-improvement work over $3,000 requires a licensed Home Improvement Contractor (HIC). Hive does not accept individual invoices exceeding $3,000 for HIC-regulated work in Davidson unless performed by a licensed partner and documented in a signed HIC contract. Where work can be segmented (per-unit, per-project), each invoice is kept under that threshold.
10. Disclaimers
The website and services are provided “as is.” Hive disclaims all implied warranties to the extent allowed by law. Nothing here limits rights you have under Tennessee consumer-protection law.
11. Limitation of liability
Except for gross negligence or willful misconduct, Hive's total liability for any claim arising from a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. This does not limit any recovery available against the performing contractor's insurance.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Disputes are resolved in the state or federal courts sitting in Davidson County, Tennessee.
